Cookie Policy
A short list of what we set, and how to turn it off.

Plain language summary
We use a couple of essential cookies to run the site and remember your consent choice, and — only if you agree in our banner — one analytics cookie set to understand which pages are useful. You can withdraw analytics consent at any time in your browser settings or by clearing site cookies and re-visiting. This document is a template provided for transparency; it is not legal advice, and we recommend the site operator have it reviewed by counsel before relying on it.
1. What a cookie is
A cookie is a small text file a website stores in your browser to remember information between visits or between pages, such as a preference or a consent choice. Some cookies are essential to a site working at all; others, like analytics cookies, are optional.
2. Essential cookies
These run automatically because the site would not function properly without them. They do not require consent under most cookie laws because they are strictly necessary.
- A cookie that remembers your cookie-consent choice, so we don't ask twice.
- Basic session and security cookies related to the hosting platform.
3. Analytics cookies
If you accept analytics cookies in our banner, we set a cookie that lets our analytics tool recognize repeat visits in aggregate — for example, understanding that a reader who lands on our historic district guide often continues to the custom homes chapter. This data is aggregated and not used to build an individually identifiable advertising profile, and it is never sold.
4. The consent banner
On your first visit, a banner offers the choice to accept or decline analytics cookies. Declining does not affect your ability to read any page on this site. Your choice is remembered in an essential cookie so you aren't asked on every page load.
5. Withdrawing consent
You can change your mind at any time. Clear cookies for dilworthluxuryhomes.com in your browser's site settings and reload the page — the banner will reappear and you can choose again. Most browsers let you do this from a padlock or site-info icon in the address bar.
6. Browser-level controls
Every major browser lets you block or delete cookies globally, or per-site, in its privacy settings. Blocking essential cookies for this domain may cause the consent banner to reappear repeatedly, since we can no longer remember that you already answered it. Blocking third-party cookies generally has no effect on our essential cookies, which are first-party.
7. No cross-site advertising cookies
We do not run third-party retargeting or advertising pixels on this site, and we do not participate in cross-site ad networks. Our four sponsoring partners are disclosed on the pages where they appear; none of them receive cookie-based tracking data from us.
8. Questions
Reach us through our Contact page with any question about how cookies are used on this site.
